This is my top priority above all. All operations hinge on CCSF's budget so being fiscally accountable is my main goal. With my analytical and budgeting experience, I will take a deep dive line-by-line to get CCSF out of deficit spending.
Bringing student enrollment levels up is the right path to FULL ACCREDITATION. More resources for high school/public outreach, and marketing the vast amount of programs and degrees available at CCSF.
I'm the 1st candidate to introduce Artificial Intelligence & Cryptocurrency (Blockchain Technology) education to CCSF. Our next generation needs to adapt with emerging innovations and the evolving skills job market in the modern world.
Alternative online learning options and education providers are drawing students away from traditional college settings
Cuts of vocational education,
which were once a strength, has led to a decline in student enrollment
Offerings from other bay area colleges and universities have drawn students away from CCSF. SF population shifts due to gentrification, cost of living, crime has impacted student enrollment
Cuts in staff and support have led to diminishing quality and experience of student services and academic programs
Aging infrastructure and limited modernization efforts diminishes the overall student experience resulting in them opting for newer modern campuses
Underlying problems like funding models, staff management, regulatory requirements are contributing to challenges of the community college system
I am running for San Francisco City College Board of Trustees. Currently CCSF is in danger of losing its accreditation, operating in financial debt, and suffering from low enrollment levels.
I want to help change that.
I'm excited to bring my experience in organizational leadership skills and balancing public budgets to fix these issues.
Like many city natives, I attended SF public schools & City College. I'm a proud US Army veteran and also worked as an Administrative Analyst for Sacramento Fire Dept, where I managed the Emergency Medical Services billing and budget, resulting in a revenue increase from $9M to $15M in my first year.
Everything that affects CCSF matters to my family. My father was a Culinary Arts Instructor at City College 2003-2005. My younger son just started his first semester at CCSF.
CCSF needs strong leaders who are willing to make difficult decisions to improve the education system.
My commitment to you is to always work toward common sense solutions to fix San Francisco's problems.
Vote for me this November.
Thank you!
